Mike Ellingsen Family
World War II
Correspondence

I am currently working on a project that is similar to the Edward Martin's Letters Home I have elsewhere on this site.  This will include a large amount of letters that were written to/from Mike (Myron) Ellingsen, his two brothers, his parents, his two sisters, relatives and friends during World War II.  The collection consists of some 500 letters, 85 greeting cards, numerous newspaper clippings, postcards, and some photographs.

At the present time, I don't have any of the material viewable on this web site, but I do have files which you can download, save to your computer and view with a program such as Adobe Acrobat (or other .pdf file viewer).  If you don't happen to have a viewer for .pdf files on your computer, click the Adobe logo below to obtain the free reader.

The following links will start the download process of .pdf files containing the correspondence of the year indicated:

Curious about food prices in 1943? Check out the Pine Bluff Arsenal Commissary price list.  It also has images of a couple of Ration Coupons of the time.
