Dear Pete:-

Last chance to write as a single man so here goes.  Getting a bit excited now that the big day is at hand.  Evelyn is too and she looks more beautiful every time I see her.  She'll certainly be a charming addition to the Martin clan and no mistake about it.  So you're up in the big money now in the transportation office.  Boy, and you didn't want to go to work for the railroad two years ago.  I sure won't know the family by the time I get back.  Dad with a new job, you in a responsible position, Gerry going to college, and Art and Mary with two children, and now me married.  What a change in the state of the family since I left home.  Seems like it was years and years ago.  Guess Mom & Dad can be pretty well satisfied with their brood.
I'll send home our wedding pictures as soon as I can get them so you can see how Eve looked when we tied the knot.  It will all be done by the time you get this.  Write Evelyn a few lines when you have time.  You can still write to her home address.  Give my regards to the office bunch.

Love, Thatch.
