Dear Dad:-
I've received both your last two letters and
was glad to have them. As usual your letters come in record time
and the last one only took ten days. I conveyed your regards to Evelyn.
We're both about as happy as any two people could be and certain we're
making no mistake. I'm sorry Eve can't be a Catholic in time for
the wedding, but we have a dispensation and will be married in Church,
so it doesn't really make much difference. She will complete her
instructions after we're married. We'll have a Nuptial Mass then
and she'll make her First Communion at the same time. I know you're
all going to love her as much as I do when you meet her after we've settled
this war. Glad to hear you still like your new job and are doing
okay. Must be a great relief to feel free again. Give my regards
to Quillen and the rest. I've been doing an enormous lot of letter
writing tonight and am just about ready to call it quits. Will write
a long letter after the wedding to tell you all about it.
Love, Thatch
