Dear Mom, Dad & All:-

Mom's V-mail of June 12th arrived yesterday June 22.  Glad to hear Joe is recovering from his cold or by now recovered and all is well with the family.  I spent Saturday and Sunday morning at Evelyn's.  They received the second batch of newspapers.  Eve is continuing her instructions with Father Hathway.   I sent you the wedding pictures so you should have them in a month or so.  Did you ever get the large photo of Evelyn?  When I came back Sunday Mrs. Humphrey gave me a cake and some cupcakes to bring back with me.  Now that we're married Eve will have PX priveleges and can buy rations, powder, etc. at the American PX.  She wrote to you last week so you will have her letter soon after this reaches you, I hope.  When you wrote you mentioned Dick having an operation, but didn't say what for.  However, Dad mentioned it in his letter to George so now I know.  Hope he's fully recovered by now.  Eve is writing to him this week and I will write tonight.  He sure writes good letters.  Eve thinks he's a great kid.  I got George's V-mail too and sent it on to Eve along with yours.  She will send them to George.  We're all well & happy.  Love to all at home.
