Dear Mom, Dad and all:-

Received your V-mail of June 27 and 29 on July 7 and 9 respectively.  Also received the birthday card on the 7th.  Many thanks.  Evelyn was here with me from the 2nd to the 8th.  I also got a congrats card from Ernie Holmes this week.  Quite a surprise, but I had sent him an invitation.  His adress is 975 Museum Drive, Los Angeles.  Had a letter from Warren Spencer, too.  It was a good week for mail.  The Humphrey's received several batches of papers and the boys were delighted to get the funnies.  I've been busier than the proverbial paper hanger lately, but it's mighty interesting.  The weather here must be about the same as it is there, except that they consider 80 hot here.  It's hot (?) one day and cold and rainy the next.  I haven't seen "Star Spangled Rythm" as yet, don't suppose it will come out here for six months.  Haven't seen anything really good for a long time.  Sure wish I could see and hear Cathy and little Joe now.   The family is sure growing by leaps and bounds of late.  Guess it's about time.  Time for me to say Cheerio, too.

Love to All,

Thatch
