Dear Mom, Dad, & all:-

Was just writing a few v-mails to the boys so thought I might as well include the home folks again, though Lord knows what I'll fill up the page with.  As I wrote before Sat & Sun was a holiday at the college, so there were no mail deliveries and I didn't get yours and Art's cables until Monday morning.  Many thanks for the good wishes.  I couldn't imagine what they could be when they came.  Got a letter from Bug in the same mail.  We're both going to Eve's this week-end.  He sent me your long V-mails which were most interesting.  The old homestead must look pretty good with all those flowers and the hedge Bug planted.  How is it coming, by the way.  You seem to be doing quite a bit of gardening.  Wish I could be with you to eat up the produce.  Those strawberries you spoke of sure made my mouth water.  Eve asked me if I thought she'd like corn-on-the-cob, imagine!!!  It's an unknown quantity over here.  When you talk about corn they think you mean wheat.  Eve and I have slight colds, but all okay otherwise.  Cheerio for now.

Love,

Thatch
