-After being ordered to return to the United States in August 1943, Edward was stationed at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey for training in Morse Code and the Company Officers Course. The following two photos are from this time period.-
Bob Mattison, Edward Martin, and Louis Davis -at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. They had all come from England on the same ship (the Queen Elizabeth). It wasn't until the year 2001 that Edward found out that Louis Davis had served with the CTC and had been stationed on the Isle of Mann.- (16.9K)

-After additional training and being stationed for short terms at various bases in the United States, Edward was shipped to Tinian Island in the Pacific Ocean in December 1944. He was the Airborne Radar and Communications Officer. He was in charge of maintaining radar and radio equipment for the B-29 aircraft that were bombing Japan The following photos are from his time on Tinian Island.-

-After the Japanese surrender, Edward returned to the United States in November 1945 and transferred into the U.S. Army Signal Corps Reserve, which he remained in until August 1960 when he retired from military service. The next three photos were taken during this time.-
